North Carolina State Employees’ Credit Union (NCSECU) was established originally on June 4, 1937, by the employees of the State of North Carolina. The Credit Union was first started with only 17 members and $437 in assets & was operated from the basement of Raleigh’s Agriculture Building. But by the year 1960, the State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) with market assets of more than $25 million, the organization grew to serve more than 70,000 members countrywide.
NCSECU is a North Carolina State Chartered Credit Union with its head office located in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. The deposits of the SECU members are securely insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) of the U.S. Federal Government. SECU is the 2nd biggest natural member credit union in the US, both in membership & in asset size.
As per the data of February 2021, NCSECU is operating with $47.4 billion USD in assets, more than 2.5 million members. The organization has an employee’s strength of 5,800 and serving with 265 branches with locations in all of North Carolina’s 100 counties. SECU serves in financial products like Checking, Savings, Mortgages, Consumer Loans, Credit Cards, Investments, and Online Banking. It also operates the Cash Points automated teller machine network, with no fee, which is the largest ATM network in North Carolina, USA. Only employees of the State of North Carolina and their immediate families are allowed to take the membership of NCSECU.

To Log In or Sign In you need to follow these simple steps below to successfully access your NCSECU Member Access Portal:
- Firstly, go to the NCSECU Member Access official website.
- You can also directly click on the link provided at www.ncsecu.org
- On the landing page carefully put down your registered “User ID” and “Password” into the given empty field.
- Now after entering your login credentials, please tap on the “Sign In” tab to access your account.

To get Enrolled for NCSECU Member Access Account, follow the below simple steps:
Requirements to Enroll:
You should try to keep your browser up-to-date, otherwise, you are putting your PC & online security at risk for several harmful viruses.
For your digital protection, the North Carolina State Employees’ Credit Union (NCSECU) will block outdated browsers that might lead to a security risk. It is recommended that you download the latest version of your preferred browser if you haven’t already.
You will require your ATM/ Debit Card Number (16-Digit Number), Voice Response Number (3-Digit Number), the latest version of your preferred Browser, etc.
Process of Enrollment:
- On the home page of the NCSECU website, you will find the “Enroll in Member Access” just below the SIGN IN
- Then on another webpage, click on the “Enroll Now”
- Again diverted on the next page, under the “Member Access Enrollment – Validate Card” heading, put down your ATM/ Debit Card Number (16-Digit Number), and Voice Response Number (3-Digit Number), etc.
- Now click on the “Continue” tab below to follow through with the on-screen guidelines to complete the process.
Please Note: In case if you cannot remember your 3-digit Voice Response Number, or don’t possess an ATM / Debit Card, you are advised to contact your local branch or SECU for immediate assistance at (888) -732 -8562 (24 X 7 Member Services).

How to Reset or Forgot NCSECU Member Access Account Password:
To Reset or if you have Forgot NCSECU Member Access Account Password, you need to follow through these underneath simple steps:
- On the landing page of the official website of NCSECU, click on the “Forgotten Password” link, on the Member Access window.
- Now, on the next page enter your “User ID” and “Social Security Number” (SSN) into the given empty field & hit the “Continue” tab, and follow the on-screen guidelines to complete the process.
Please Note: To Reset your NCSECU Password, you should have already Enrolled in Member Access & have answered your Security Questions carefully. Benefits of NCSECU Member Access Platform:
Through the Member Access platform, you can access accounts & perform several tasks like transactions & maintenance that are traditionally conducted in branches. The benefits are:
Accounts – You can view and access your accounts activity, rate information, balance, transaction details of the past 120 days, monthly statements up to the past 18 months, cleared check images, year-end documents, etc.
Move Money – In between your Credit Union accounts, you can easily transfer your funds, perform cash advances for Credit Card, real-time loan advances, modify or establish one time & recurring funds transfers, etc.
Pay Bills – Simply you can make your bill payments through the NCSECU platform BillPay services, send money to other SECU members, view payment history, etc.
